ARTLIA's art prints are produced according to standardized paper and canvas formats.
Depending on the aspect ratio of the original artwork and the chosen format, it may happen that the edges of the image are slightly adjusted to achieve a harmonious overall effect and high print quality.
For canvas prints, the ARTLIA team ensures that the main motif is placed as fully as possible on the front side. The side frame areas are continued in color and style to match the original image.
This is a deliberate and common production step with which the ARTLIA team ensures the aesthetic quality of each artwork.

What do we see in this work of art?
The work of art with a monotype “Jena Johannistor” by the Jena artist Sergej Uchatsch shows another landmark of the city, and thus follows the series of images captured on paper, his hometown. We at the artlia online art gallery also come from the university town and know the pedestrian zone next to which the Johannistor stands all too well. We have walked through them many times and love the historical feeling that the old fortifications still exude in Jena's city center today. The focus of the work is clearly the eponymous Johannistor, which can be seen at the bottom of the picture. Further to the left, an extension leads to the so-called powder tower. Uchatsch also painted this building, which is also available here at artlia. The Johannistor is a joyful reminder of the medieval festivals that take place here every year.
Where can this mural hang?
A poster of the work of art with a monotype “Jena Johannistor” reminds some of times gone by and brings the past Jena, in which it was still a walled city, into the four walls of others. The painting represents both the historical flair of Jena and modernity, as these buildings are still largely well preserved today. For Jena's long, meaningful history, we recommend this work of art to every history lover, Jenenser and Jena resident or even student who would like to take pleasant memories home with them in the form of a mural.
