What do we see in this poster?
This mural “Jena Powder Tower” printed on a poster shows another landmark of Jena’s city center, painted by Sergej Uchatsch, who lives in the university town. The artlia online art gallery also has its home here and we know this place only too well. From the pedestrian zone, visitors can easily reach the tower that gives it its name, which shines with its medieval charm. Events are held here all year round, with the Medieval Festival certainly being the most famous. The tower and its surroundings still show the remains of city walls and give us a small insight into life many hundreds of years ago. The mural shows the Jena Powder Tower in impressive attention to detail. The heavy bricks form the tower itself, with a thin opening where guards used to look down.
